Today fewer schools teach computer science than 10 years ago…huh? Longleaf Elementary in Hattiesburg is doing it’s part to change that. The school has been chosen as the Mississippi winner of Code.org’s annual $10,000 prize for participation in the Hour of Code event, this year held the week of December 7th. Congratulations to the faculty, parents, and most especially students of Longleaf. Code on kids, code on.

Thursday December 10th at the C Spire corporate headquarters in Ridgeland, Mississippi that state’s leading innovation incubator hosts one of it’s signature Discovery Luncheons.
